Shelly and I took our grand kids, Rhys and Knox to see the band Southern Charm in concert at the Pavilion in Montgomery Village, MD. Southern Charm, from Frederick, MD, is a great country band, but they do some good old rock and roll too. We saw them perform a couple years ago at Seacrets in Ocean City, MD, and when we saw they were performing in the Village, we didn't want to miss it.
As their name claims, they are charming, and energetic too. They engaged the audience well, getting adults and children up to dance. Their vocals, musicianship, and performance were really good. Shelly is more of a fan of country music, and while I had not heard many of the songs before, I thoroughly enjoyed them.
Rhys and Knox, along with a dozen or so other kids, had great fun. Vocalists Kimmie Smith and Lauren Carnahan chatted and took a picture with them after the show.
Southern Charm has 4 new fans and we'll make sure we see them perform again in the future. You can find them on Facebook and Instagram.
