In April 2021, Shelly and I visited Brookside Gardens, a Montgomery County, Maryland park and beautiful botanical garden. It was a gorgeous day, with brilliant sunshine, blue sky, and a few puffy clouds. We had never been to this park before, and we looked forward to seeing it. Unfortunately, I injured my knee the night before playing pickleball, and was unable to walk the grounds. I found a bench overlooking a pond and sat while Shelly walked the paths that led to beautiful flower beds. Shelly took a handful of pictures which are below.
We then had a nice lunch at Stain Glass Pub, a nearby restaurant known for their pizza. It was half-price pizza day so we each ordered large pizzas, ate well, then took the remainder home. Despite the knee problem, we had a wonderful day.
