Isolation Day 20 - Turkey and Stuffing and Beans, Oh My!

This was Connie's first good day in a while. The nurse Al spoke with today thinks Connie may have "turned a corner." Her oxygenation improved today. The nurse was in the room with Connie when Al called and put him on the speaker phone. She said, "talk to Connie because I think she will hear you." Al spoke to her and told her about all our family, neighbors and friends are all praying for her and all asking how she is doing, and how we all missed her. Al said it was great to talk to her even though she couldn't respond. He really hopes she was able to hear him and it certainly lifted his spirits. Let's hope the improvement continues. Prayers and thoughts are working.

Shelly made a turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green bean casserole. It was really good and a nice treat to celebrate 20 days of isolation and give thanks to still being healthy. Thanks Shelly!

I watched the movie "21" last night. It's based on a true story about a MIT math professor who recruits 5 students to learn how to play blackjack and count cards. He sets them up as a team who go to Las Vegas and beat the odds at the tables to take home hundreds of thousands of dollars. Of course their luck ran out but I won't give it away. It's on Netflix and worth watching.

Shelly and I played a few Scrabble games. We might try some Backgammon tomorrow.

Here's a throwback photo from 2012 when Shelly and I visited Melissa in England. We went to Liverpool and took a Beatles tour bus to visit all the Beatles hot spots. Here we are on Penny Lane.

And in closing, Shelly and I saw the Eagles perform at the Verizon Center in Washington DC in July 2015. This was 6 months before Glenn Frey died so I am grateful we saw them.

And here's a beautiful acoustic version of the same song:
