Isolation Day 27 - Finally a bit of Productivity

Connie is still in ICU but had all her IV's removed today. She was retested for Covid-19 and ate solid food. Occupational, speech and physical therapists visited her. She is getting wonderful care from the health professionals. Thank you for all your prayers.

I posted this GIF on Facebook yesterday in response to a request on how my day was.

I was a bit more productive today, and feel pretty good about it.

Tomorrow is Easter and we're driving to Melissa's to see her, and Rhys and Knox. Shelly made bacon for Knox (his favorite) and waffles for Rhys (his favorite). We'll drop it off at their door, and say hi to them through the window.

Lennon and McCartney are still doing well. They're hounding both of us but mostly Shelly. Lennon sleeps on Shelly every night, and McCartney lays on her during the day. I rue the day we travel again as I think they'll be extra upset with us gone. But we have a great pet sitter who gives them lots of love and comfort. Here's Lennon snoozing away this evening, and McCartney laying next to her scratch pad.

I listed to American Top 40 with Casey Kasem this morning for this date in 1971. Some great songs, including those from Janis Joplin, The Temptations, and Marvin Gaye. Here's the top 10.

Here's a throwback photo of Shelly and me on our second Alaskan cruise in 2010. We had a blast, although the weather prevented us from a couple excursions, including a helicopter ride to and a hike on a glacier.

And in closing, Shelly and I saw Barbara Streisand at the Verizon Center in Washington DC in 2006. She's quite a performer and has a fantastic voice. Here's a video clip of her performing Evergreen (Love Theme from A Star Is Born).
