Isolation Day 33 - There's a Place in the Sun

Connie had a good day. She is getting lots of calls and texts and that is lifting her spirits. She is doing physical therapy and starting to get her strength back. She asked my brother Al to drop off a couple books for her as she is getting a bit bored. Both she and Al are anxious for her to get released and start her rehabilitation. Thank you all for your prayers.

Andrew Cuomo continues to demonstrate what leadership is all about. He is an excellent communicator and knows his facts. He is calm, yet passionate and committed. Larry Hogan has done a great job for Maryland as well. He's decisive and compassionate. It will be interesting to see their rise following the governorship.

I watched the western movie Seraphim Falls starring Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan. I had never heard of this movie, and after watching it, I understand why. Neeson and 4 henchmen chase Brosnan through 1868 Nevada to settle a pretty serious grudge. Neeson is relentless in his pursuit and displays one emotion - grouchiness. Pierce Brosnan mumbles through his beard throughout the movie. I give it 5 stars out of 10.

The One World: Together at Home Concert is tomorrow, Saturday April 18. It's a global broadcast & digital special to support frontline healthcare workers and the WHO. It will stream on various sites (Youtube, Facebook, etc.) from 2pm - 10pm, and be televised on networks from 8pm - 10pm. Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga and many others are scheduled to perform.

Here's a throwback photo of a sunset over the Chesapeake Bay Shelly took last July when we were in Oxford, MD. We're supposed to visit Oxford again this July, and hopefully things will be a bit more normal so we can visit.

And in closing, Shelly and I saw Stevie Wonder in 2007. We had 5th row seats and it was a great concert. Here he is performing "A Place in the Sun."
