I talked to my sister Pat and brother-in-law Vin today. They're doing well and staying busy. It was really nice talking to them.
Shelly made our German meal of sauerbraten, spatzle and purple cabbage. It was quite good! I am not a fan of cabbage, but it was tasty too. Thank you Shelly for always taking care of our meals!
The virus has hit the White House with Pence's press secretary and Trump's valet testing positive. I wonder if the administration will start following the guidelines the White House Task Force created. Probably not.
I watched the movie Tombstone starring Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday. They take on the Cowboys including Curly Bill Brocius, Johnny Ringo and the Clanton's, and fight it out at the OK Corral. I like this movie a lot, great characters, lots of action and a good story. 8 out of 10 stars!
I also watched the movie The Post starring Meryl Streep as Katherine Graham, the publisher of the Washington Post, and Tom Hanks as Ben Bradlee as it's editor. When American military analyst, Daniel Ellsberg, realizes to his disgust the depths of the US government's deceptions about the futility of the Vietnam War, he takes action by copying top-secret documents that would become the Pentagon Papers. Bradlee and Graham work to publish the papers and face the wrath of the Nixon White House. A very good movie worth 7.5 out of 10 stars.
Here's a throwback photo from 2016 when Shelly and I visited Disney World during one of her conferences. We took a behind-the-scenes tour that was pretty interesting.
And in closing, I think I've run out of concerts we've seen. So here's the first music video I ever saw. It was played on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1967, 14 years before MTV. The Beatles weren't performing live any longer, so they made videos for "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane."
