Isolation Day 65 - Great Food and 20 Minutes of Yoga (well, maybe 10 minutes)

I slept in until 10 am this morning! It felt good to sleep in. When I woke up, Lennon was laying next to me, so I pet her for a while.

Shelly made enchilada soup. Added some cheese and tortilla chips on top and it was delicious! Thanks Shelly!

Shelly also made lasagna. Very delicious! Thank you Shelly!

Shelly bought a one year subscription of online yoga classes. It includes streaming recorded classes for free, and live classes for $5.99. So we did a yoga class today. Or should I say I pretty much watched a yoga class today. It was tough. I haven't done a class in over a year. So I'll take it easy and and not press too hard at the start.

I watched the movie Battle of the Bulge starring Henry Fonda, Robert Shaw, Robert Ryan, and a bunch of other stars. In the winter of 1944, the Allied Armies stand ready to invade Germany at the coming of a New Year. To prevent this occurrence, Hitler orders an all out offensive to re-take French territory and capture the major port city of Antwerp. It shows this conflict from the perspective of an American intelligence officer (Fonda) as well as from a German Panzer Commander (Shaw). It culminates at the famous siege at Bastogne where Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe replied "Nuts" to the German demand they surrender. I really enjoy watching this film and give it 7 out of 10 stars.

I played Fortnite with Pat Morrissey for a couple hours. Lots of fun. We came in second twice!

Here's a throwback photo from August 2019 of Rhys and Knox with the singers from the band Southern Charm.

And in closing, here's a 1972 performance of "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple, my favorite hard rock band. I played their live album Made in Japan for hours on end.
