We're heading to the beach in Ocean City tomorrow morning. I can't wait to see and listen to the ocean surf hitting the sandy shore. I am a bit concerned about our cats Lennon and McCartney getting upset while we're away since we've been continuous companions for 71 days. But our pet sitter will be here every day taking good care of them.
Our friends Kristian Anderson and Ron McClellan stopped by today for a socially-distanced chat. It was really nice seeing them and catching up. Kristian also dropped off chocolate chip cookies she made from the Doubletree Hotel cookie recipe. They are delicious! They may be gone before we leave for the beach tomorrow.
We did or "Beer Monday" Face Time happy hour with Kate and Bob Coleman and caught up on their past week. We spent much of the time talking about Covid-19 and when Maryland will begin reopening. We're all ready for some semblance of normalcy with new safe distancing practices.
I downloaded a new game called Civilization VI, have become addicted, and have been playing it until 4 or 5 am. Not good.
I watched the replays of games 6 and 7 of the 2019 World Series between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros last night. It was fun to see the Nats come out on top again.
Here's a throwback photo of my cousin Colleen Murray Boardman and me near Hot Springs, Arkansas in July 2016. We had a great time visiting and touring Hot Springs.
And in closing, here is one of my favorite John Lennon post-Beatles songs, "Jealous Guy." I find it hauntingly beautiful and it shows his love for Yoko. Nice video too.
