Throwback Photo of the Day

In May, 2005, Shelly and I visited the Grand Canyon for the second time. This time, we took a helicopter ride to the bottom of the canyon near the Havasupai Indian Reservation. We hopped on horses to ride to Havasu Falls, a beautiful falls along the Havasu Creek. Along the trail we saw various desert flora and fauna, and chomped on beef jerky. We arrived at Havasu Falls and were astounded by it's beauty. It's about 100 ft. high and it's high calcium carbonate concentration in the water creates the vivid blue-green color and forms the natural limestone dams that occur in various places near the falls. It was a fabulous experience, and we recommend seeing the Grand Canyon from it's basin and enjoy Havasu Falls.
